A video of a woman, subject to violent domestic abuse from her husband, has gone viral on social media in which she urges the authorities to provide her with justice.
In the video, the woman, KN*, narrates how she married her first cousin around four years ago of her free will. However, the union turned out to be a disaster.
She said that for the first two years of marriage, her family supported her financially. However, poor treatment from her in-laws prompted her to file a family dispute case. After a settlement with her in-laws, she returned to live with her husband who subjected her to domestic abuse.
The woman added that during this time, she became pregnant with her second child. When she asked her husband to pay her medical bills and provide for their children, he allegedly refused to pay.
In her video, she claimed to have filed an application at the Naseerabad police station but the officers there refused to lodge a complaint.
When contacted, Naseerabad police station SHO said that it was a family matter. However, he said that if any violence involved, the police will get involved.
