ISLAMABAD:
In line with a decision taken earlier this week, the apex civic authority in the federal capital took possession of vacant, public land in the Park Enclave–II to start development activities there.

A statement issued by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday said that its staff conducted an operation in Park Enclave-II on Thursday.

During the operation, the staff took possession of vacant land in the enclave and started paving the way for early and prompt commencement of development works on the stalled project.

Officials of CDA’s Enforcement Directorate, Planning Wing, Sector Development, Machine Pool Organisation (MPO) and other relevant departments took part in the operation, which was assisted by Islamabad Capital Territory Administration and the Islamabad Police.

Alignment of about a kilometre of Street 1 (50' wide) was earmarked with the help of machinery provided by the MPO. Instructions were also issued to take possession at the earliest so that development works can commence in Park Enclave-II by May this year.

On Monday, CDA Chairman and ICT Chief Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmed had issued instructions to take over the vacant land of the enclave so that development activities can be launched.

Further, in line with the directions, a special meeting of CDA-Development Work Party is likely to be held soon so that development work can be started not later than May.
