AVLC nabs motorcycle lifters

Two stolen motorcycles were also seized from the possession of the suspects

The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) of the Baldia Town police claimed on Wednesday to have busted a gang of motorcycle thieves and arrested three suspects.

According to an AVLC spokesperson, the arrests were made during a raid that was conducted on the basis of a tip-off in Baldia Town, while two stolen motorcycles were also seized from the possession of the suspects, who were repeat offenders.

The spokesperson said that one of the suspects, Shahid, was a mechanic who used to sell motorcycle parts, adding that he had been arrested previously as well and had a criminal record.


The other suspects were identified as Rehmatullah and Jahangir.

The police are carrying out further investigations in order to arrest more suspects.
