NAB withdraws arrest warrants against JUI-F leader Akram Khan Durrani
'inquiry against Durrani has also been ordered afresh'

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has withdrawn the arrest warrants against Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Akram Khan Durrani in illegal appointments and allotment of government houses case and requested the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to dispose off his pre-arrest bail petition.
The application submitted by the anti-graft buster in the IHC on Tuesday stated that the court on January 30 had sent the matter pertaining to the issuance of arrest warrants for Durrani to the NAB chairman for review.

The NAB chief asked the anti-corruption watchdog prosecutor general to give his advice on the issue.
The prosecutor general suggested that the matter needed to be reviewed again and called for withdrawing the arrest warrants and starting the inquiry again.
The application stated that the NAB chairman had withdrawn the arrest warrants against the former federal minister and also changed the inquiry officer.
It said that inquiry against the Durrani has also been ordered afresh.
