HYDERABABD:
A boy whose body was found hanging in an abandoned house in Tando Muhammad Khan district earlier this week was raped and killed, police investigations revealed on Sunday.

The police said that one of the two suspects involved in the heinous crime had confessed to it during interrogation, while the other suspect had so far evaded arrest.

Both the suspects are teenagers, and one of them, aged 15, is a cousin of the slain boy, who was nine years old.

"The cousin of the slain boy is the prime suspect, though he blames his friend for killing and hanging the deceased," a police official from the investigating team told The Express Tribune. "The boy was drugged, after which he was assaulted and finally hanged to death."

According to the police, the deceased's cousin lured him to the location where the crime was committed.

A postmortem report established that the deceased had been raped and murdered, and a case has been registered against the two suspects with the relevant charges.
