QUETTA:
National Party Chief Hasil Bizenjo on Saturday slammed federal government over its response to handle the coronavirus and the preventive measures taken by the government to curb its spread.
In a statement issued by NP, Bizenjo noted the grave situation arising out of the deadly pandemic across the world.
“The contagion has spread in more than 200 countries of the world and thousands of people have lost their lives. However, the federal government is not handling the situation seriously,” said the NP chief.
Criticising the measures taken by the Centre, Bizenjo stressed on collective efforts in order to curb the spread of the virus in the country. “At this point, collective efforts of government and opposition parties are needed for the formation of durable mechanism and policy,” said Bizenjo, adding the federal government should consult other parties for collective planning. Bizenjo, who is also a member of Senate, also drew attention towards the non-serious attitude of Pakistanis over coronavirus outbreak which could be a hazard.
