PM congratulates Sharifs on LHC decision
PM Gilani congratulated the Sharif brothers after the Lahore High Court dismissed petitions seeking their disqualification.

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani congratulated PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif after the Lahore High Court (LHC) dismissed petitions seeking their disqualification on Thursday.
The petitions were filed against the Sharif brothers for contesting polls from NA-52 and NA-123.
Lawyers representing the Sharif brothers argued that elections have already taken place in these constituencies. Besides, they said Nawaz Sharif has nothing to do with NA 123.
A three-member bench of the Lahore High Court headed by Justice Ijaz Chaudhry dismissed the petitions as the petitioner did not appear in the court hearings.
