More confirmed coronavirus cases reported in Punjab

Number of deaths in the province stands at 11

LAHORE:
The total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus, in Punjab, has surged to 1,087 while the total number of deaths, in the province, stand at 11.

According to details obtained by The Express Tribune, the cases of coronavirus are increasing in various cities of Punjab while the provincial capital is at the top with 210 patients. Gujrat is at second number with a total of 95 patients.


Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department spokesperson said that there were 597 patients at the quarantine centres in different districts while there were 490 cases in cities across the province.

In Dera Ghazi Khan, there were 213 patients in quarantine centres. Moreover, Multan had 91 cases, Faisalabad’s quarantine centres had five patients, Raiwind had 251 cases, Mandi Bahauddin had three cases, Sargodha had 13 cases, Vehari had nine cases, Rawalpindi’s quarantine centre’s had six cases, Gujrat had 95 cases whereas Jhelum had 29 confirmed cases of coronavirus. The spokesperson added, “We are requesting citizens to adopt precautionary measures and stay at their homes.”
