Textile factories to resume work amid Covid-19 lockdown

All textile factories were informed that the factories’ administration would ensure social distancing

Multan Commissioner Shanul Haq gave approval to 29 textile factories to continue work after ensuring precautionary measures against the novel coronavirus.


According to a notification issued on Saturday, the commissioner said it had been decided to provide relief to the textile industry despite Section 144. The industry was allowed to continue work to complete export orders. All textile factories of the city were informed, through notification, however, the factories’ administration would ensure social distancing at the workplace. Directions were given to provide masks to the workers.
