The DG further said that reducing loadshedding during the month of fasting is PEPCO’s first priority and that there would be no loadshedding during sehar and iftar.
Qureshi said that the operational directors of all distribution companies have been directed to chalk out efficient plans in order to minimise power outages during Ramazan.
He also said that the electricity shortfall is increasing due to the shortage of furnace oil and gas, however, the government will soon add 572 megawatts of energy to the national grid.

There should be 12 hrs for Sehar and the remaining 12 hrs for Iftar. Our problem will be solved...
We had our power down exactly at sehri time. Our very first sehri and nopower. Infact its the other way around
@TR
Great catch, DG PEPCO left us in an awkward situation, which means that there CAN be schedule load-shedding at seher/iftar time :)
"would be no unscheduled loadshedding during the month of Ramazan" mean no scheduled loading-shedding...
Funny Expression
The situation seems worsened; If I recall correctly, no load-shedding used to take place in the month of Ramadan.
Wat a joke!!
i guess around 8-9 years ago when i was in school it was for the first time i heard about the word loadshedding, for a few days i was wondering what it means until i googled it. Now the word has spread rapidly all over pakistan, and the way things are currently, i assume in a few years time it will be one of a few words an new born learns to say
If we can do this initiative in the month of Ramadan, can't we do it throughout the year? Loadshedding has extremely affected the economy of the country and if something could be done to solve this nuisance, I am sure our country will move forward in a fast pace.
really very kind of them
LOL--that means dont set alams for sehr and iftar--when the fan starts working understand it is either iftar or sahr time :D
Do they think we eat electricity at Sheri and Iftar?
