Three robbers caught after police encounter

Police cordoned off the area and Potohar SP also reached the site with heavy contingent

Police managed to arrest three robbers after a shootout on Range Road, however, their fourth accomplice managed to flee.

Race Course police station officials said that the police van was patrolling in Range Road when it signalled four suspects on two separate motorbikes to stop.

Instead of stopping, the suspects opened fire at the police and tried to flee on their bikes. However, police returned fire injuring three suspects including Yaseen, Rashid and Azami, while their fourth accomplice managed to flee.


Police cordoned off the area and Potohar SP also reached the site with heavy contingent. The injured suspects were shifted to hospital while different teams started search for the absconder. Police spokesperson said that the suspects were nominated in different cases of robberies and street crimes and the police had the CCTV footage of their robbery in the jurisdiction of Saddar police station.
