Regaining Possession: 186 stolen vehicles returned to owners

The Lahore police handed over 75 cars and 111 motorcycles to their owners

LAHORE:
The Lahore police handed over 75 cars and 111 motorcycles to their owners at Qila Gujjar Singh police lines on Wednesday. Speaking at the ceremony, CCPO Ahmad Raza Tahir, announced that the police had recovered over 225 stolen vehicles in the month of June. He said that during the past four months, the Lahore police had arrested two major car lifting gangs, recovering more than 15,00 stolen vehicles. He said that forensic testing was being carried out to determine the ownership of the stolen vehicles.  He also said that vehicle lifting and snatching had dropped by 44% in the last four months.
