Akbar Bugti case: Arrest warrants for former DCO Dera Bugti issued

Arrest warrants for Musharraf, two others nominated in the FIR yet to be issued.

QUETTA: Arrest warrants for former District Coordination Officer (DC) Dera Bugti, Samad Lasi have been issued in the Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case, Express 24/7 reported on Wednesday.

Sources said the investigation team has officially included Lasi in the interrogation and that the Balochistan Home Secretary has contacted his Sindh counterpart for the former DCO’s detention.

The arrest warrants for former president Pervez Musharraf and two others nominated in the FIR have not yet been acquired from the concerned court, sources said.

Interpol will be contacted through the federal government for the transfer of Musharraf after warrants have been acquired.

Steps have also been taken to present Maulvi Malook, who led the funeral prayers of Bugti, in court.
