No Covid-19 in ex-British diplomat

Posthumous test for novel coronavirus (COVID-19) for British diplomat Brian George Robinson, was found to be negative.

ISLAMABAD:
A posthumous test for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) for British diplomat Brian George Robinson, was found to be negative.

Robinson, who was serving as the third secretary at the British High Commission in Islamabad, had been found dead inside his residence in the Diplomatic Enclave, two days ago. His body had been shifted to the Federal Government Polyclinic for a postmortem.


Doctors at the hospital immediately conducted the test for COVID-19 on the deceased to ascertain whether he was infected. However, the results came back negative on Tuesday, sources said.

Polyclinic Medico-legal Officer Dr Imtiaz said that the body of the British diplomat is being kept at the hospital. He added that the hospital will constitute a medical board which will conduct an autopsy to ascertain the actual cause of his death no that coronavirus has been ruled out.
