Madina mosque: Shopkeepers protest rice sack image
The protest was over a print of the image of the green dome of the prophet’s mosque on sacks of rice.
HYDERABAD:
Shopkeepers of the grain market protested along with members of Sunni Tehreek and other religious parties in front of the Diya Ram rice mill on Tuesday. The protest was over a print of the image of the green dome of the prophet’s mosque on sacks of rice. They burnt tyres and pelted the factory with stones. The president of Green and Seed Merchants, Haji Mohammad Haroon, said that the mill owner did this on purpose. The police arrived and dispersed the protestors after promising to take action and confiscating the sacks of rice.
