Retaliation: Journalist’s beating sparks protest
Express TV reporter Sherin Zada was beaten by four security personnel when he was on his way to cover a musical show

The Swat Press Club and Union of Journalists Swat decided to boycott all activities and programmes of the Pakistan Army in Swat on Tuesday after an emergency meeting. The meeting was called after Express TV reporter Sherin Zada was beaten by four security personnel when he was on his way to cover a musical show organised by the army and the Provincial Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Settlement Authority in Kalam. Soon after the incident, the
journalist community decided to boycott the event.
The beating of the news reporter was condemned unanimously by all the journalists.
