Deadlines: Funds for development re-released

A sum of Rs3,024 million has been released for development projects.

LODHRAN:
A sum of Rs3,024 million has been released for development projects in the financial year 2010-11. The funds had previously lapsed due to a missed deadline and the Planning and Development (P&D) department has submitted a request with the Punjab finance department to release the funds once again. Punjab P&D sent a letter to the Punjab finance department stating that the funds had lapsed due to non-utilisation and should be released again to executing agencies concerned for the completion of development projects. The lapsed funds included Rs269.177 million under large cities package, Rs1,590 million under a district package and Rs1,164 million under the southern Punjab development programme.
