Ali Sethi just performed his first virtual 'concert' in self isolation

The singer is overjoyed by the response on social media

Popular singer Ali Sethi had an elaborate Instagram live session with his fans on Thursday, during which he sang plenty of songs including classics such as Lag ja galay and Dum Mast Qalandar.

He is the first Pakistani artist to have started online concerts in order to make the quarantine easier for those yearning to be entertained. Having said that, it is important to note that a number of Pakistani singers have been doing performances on Facebook and Instagram live for a while now. Before the pandemic outbreak.

The session was a first of the series the singer plans on doing. Aside from these online performances being free of cost and easily accessible, another important thing about Sethi's session was how the users could interact with him during the performance.

"The quarantine doesn't feel that bad anymore," said many of his fans as they were thrilled to finally have the singer fulfill their requests and respond to their queries, while entertaining them.

Sethi sang everything that was being asked of him and when one user questioned if he could do a Michael Jackson song, he said "why not?"

He held onto his piano and moved ballad to ballad, while cracking jokes in the middle, as his fans deemed the session 'therapeutic'.
