LRRA to execute Rawalpindi Ring Road project
RDA holds an impressive record as an executive agency having completed the Metro Bus Project
RAWALPINDI:
The Punjab government has decided to handover the Rawalpindi Ring Road project to the Lahore Ring Road Authority (LRRA).
The decision was taken in view of the constrained capacity of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA). In this regards, the jurisdiction of LRRA has been extended across the province. The Project Management Unit (PMU) of the ring road project has been linked with LRRA while the Rawalpindi commissioner will serve as its managing director.
The RDA holds an impressive record as an executive agency having completed the Metro Bus Project between the twin cities in just 14 months.
However, a notification by the Punjab planning board on Monday said the decision was taken after deliberations with the related officials.
