QUETTA:
The Balochistan High Court (BHC) has expressed its indignation at the federal government for mismanagement at the Taftan border which may have caused the massive outbreak of coronavirus cases in the country.

A BHC divisional bench, consisting of Chief Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel and Justice Nazeer Ahmed Langove, heard the case regarding the spread of the virus. The country’s Deputy Attorney General and Balochistan Advocate General Arbab Tahir Advocate appeared on behalf of the federal and provincial governments.

During the hearing, the court expressed its anger at arrangements made by the federal government at the Taftan border, Chief Justice Mandokhel being quoted as asking how the cases could have occurred with the border closed.

"We are aware of what is really happening at the border. Our silence does not mean we are not aware", Justice Jamal remarked.
