As the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases ballooned to 136, the government has urged suspected patients to get themselves tested for the virus which has claimed nearly 7,000 live across the globe.

If you suspect that you may have symptoms, including fever, coughing or shortness of breath, call the state helpline (1166) or your healthcare provider.

Health experts recommend visiting the hospital or doctor immediately suggested by the helpline set up for coronavirus.

Private laboratories charge upwards to Rs7,900 for each test while designated public hospitals test free of cost.

Sindh, K-P confirm 15 new coronavirus cases each, national tally hits 136


The results are reported back to you within a 48-hour period.

Earlier in the day, provincial authorities in Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa confirmed 68 and 15 new cases of novel coronavirus respectively, pushing the total number of confirmed cases in Pakistan to 136.

This is the single largest increase in novel coronavirus cases in the country as of today.

Sindh Health Minister Azra Fazal Pechuho said with the 15 new cases, the provincial tally has soared to 103.

There are 76 confirmed cases in Sukkur (all patients arrive from Taftan border), 26 in Karachi and one in Hyderabad, she confirmed.
