Gwadar jeep rally cancelled

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal on Saturday called off Gwadar Off Road Rally due to fear of deadly coronavirus – COVID-19 – outbreak, according to a statement issued.
In order to promote sports in the province, the rally was scheduled to take place from April 2 to 4. However, with 10 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in Balochistan, the government has cancelled the event.
According to sources, a sports festival to be held on March 23 in connection with the Pakistan Day was also expected to be called off.
Earlier, Balochistan Chief Secretary Captain (retd) Fazeel Asghar had chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the rally.
