KARACHI:
An anti-terrorism court sentenced on Saturday two persons to seven years of imprisonment each, after finding them guilty in a case of sectarian killings.
Announcing the verdict at Karachi Central Jail, the court also imposed a fine of Rs45,000 on the convicts Afsa Zaidi and Masoom.
According to the Rangers prosecutor, the convicts were arrested by Rangers in the limits of Pakistan Bazar police station.
Later, on Zaidi’s indication, Rangers seized 10 Kalashnikovs and light machine guns, as well as large amounts of ammunition, from nearby an imambargah.
Zaidi is also facing trial in other cases pertaining to the targeted killing of four people.
