Application for withdrawal of cases against Rehman Malik
LAHORE:
The National Accountability Bureau is ready to take back two references of corruption against Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik.
NAB’s Additional Prosecutor General submitted application for withdrawal in accordance with NAB Ordinance Section 31-B, on Wednesday.
Malik is accused of receiving hefty kickbacks during the purchase of official vehicles when he was posted as additional director general for FIA. The second reference alleges that Malik barged into the house of Hashim Raza in Lahore and took away cash, gold and other valuables.
Earlier Malik had been granted a presidential pardon in corruption cases against him.
