Taseer takes a shot, Sanaullah responds

The war of words between Rana Sanaullah and Salman Taseer reached new levels as allegations were once again hurled by both parties on Wednesday.

The latest comments by Salman Taseer came when he was speaking at a public gathering in Pind Dadan Khan. Taseer said that Punjab Government was in close contacts with terror outfits operating in the province.

He also said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was spending Rs600 million on his Sasti Roti sceheme every year and yet no sasti roti was found from Lahore to Pind Dadan Khan.

On the other hand Rana Sanaullah said the governor should be given a small apartment and funds should be raised after selling the Governor House. He also said that the governoer was not involved in carrying out his duties.

On the topic of Jamat ud Dawa, he said that all Jamat ud Dawa schools were registered and were being monitored by the provincial government, and that the schools would continue to operate in the province.

First of all should consider what kind of matters,problems or crisis we are going through now a days every one living in this country know well about that such as, power crisis, all the industry depend on it and labors are earning livelihood from it, water, there is water crisis,present condition of is not favor able to human being health,according to a one survey water is bring about in spreading number of diseases, please draw attention on cheaper medicines and treatment for poor. But we forgot all and talking about ''susti roti''should think how much people eat bread out of the house only 5 percent and 95 percent run their house with things as above-noted. Please provide electricity, clean water, daily use items for example vegetables and fruits and other commodities relating to the kitchen . cheaper bread is not the solution of the real problems being faced by the whole nations. daily use items .

rizwan | 14 years ago | Reply PPP always contest the election with slogan like, roti, kapra and maqan but it has yet to turn up to the expectations of people however the way they have started targeting SASTI ROTI scheme it looks that PPP is no longer a pro poor. I propose to the media/Punjab government to conduct a satisfactory survey in areas where SASTI ROTI scheme is operational and let the people decide about its effectiveness.

Ghafar Ali | 14 years ago | Reply I have no sympathy with the PML-N or any other political party but if someone is doing somthing better for the down troden of the society it is worthy of praise and should not be politicised. Why Slaman Taseer get pains with the Sasti Roti? Deos he want the poor to commit suicide like a Rikshaw driver from lahore poisoned himself and his family? Taseer is criticising the Punjab government of which PPP is also a partner for helping the poor but at the same time he has failed to release the salaries of the employees of his own media group. His media group rendered many journalists jobless and the rest are passing through difficult financial times. Political criticism is very easy but helping the poor practically outside the aircondioned rooms is a job which people like Salman Taseer cannot even think about. Shame on this dirty politics. Shame on these so called politicians and Shame on the people who elect them or listen to them.
