Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) urges motorcyclists to avoid answering calls while driving

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Huma Naseeb on Friday urged the motorcyclists to wear helmets and avoid answering their mobile phones while driving, to protect their lives.
She said there was no room for corrupt officers in the department.
She said stern action would be taken against those who would be found involved in embezzlement.
Referring to the report prepared by Multan Traffic Police on the department’s performance of 2.5 months in 2020, she said 91,000 challan tickets were issued to date, with Rs20.73 million fine imposed on drivers in the district.
About 16 driving licenses were cancelled for misappropriation, 2,501 vehicles rounded up, 15 route permits ordered for cancellation, 3,559 fines issued for violating one-way, 1,886 fines handled for over speeding and 588 fines imposed against minors for rash driving on busy roads.
