District coordination officer (DCO) Azmat Mehmood recently said that 10 Ramazan bazaars and 41 fair price shops would start operating in the district by July 29. The DCO said that flour and sugar would be sold below market rates at the bazaars. Presiding over a meeting at the conference hall on Monday, the DCO directed the district administration to make foolproof arrangements for providing all essentials items at the Ramazan bazaars at low rates.  He said the Food Department had finalised arrangements to provide 2,873 bags of flour daily for Rs415 at the shops in the district and eight out of 11 sugar mills would provide sugar at Rs62 to Rs72 per kg at the bazaars during the holy month.
