Renovation: Munter pays visit to a shrine
US Ambassador in Pakistan Cameron Munter, along with his wife visited the mausoleum of Shah Shams Sabzwari.

US Ambassador in Pakistan Cameron Munter, along with his wife and Lahore Consul General Carmela Conroy, visited the mausoleum of Shah Shams Sabzwari on Monday. The custodians of the shrine greeted the US ambassador and members of his delegation on their arrival. Munter laid a floral wreath at the grave of the saint. Officials from the Auqaf department briefed the delegation about the services of the great saint and the history of the shrine. The US ambassador donated $50,000 on behalf of the US government for the renovation of the shrine. The custodians informed the delegation that renovation would be completed in 2012.
