Family spring, food festival from March 20
Apart from the festival venue, the two cities will also be decorated for the event
Having been delayed due to an advisory from the national disaster management authority (NDMA) of heavy rains in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the Islamabad Family Spring and Foods Festival 2020 is set to open its doors for citizens from March 20.

This was disclosed by Dr M Abdullah Tabassam, the chief organizer of the festival, during a news conference on Monday. Dr Tabassam said that the family spring festival will be held at the Sector F-9 Park from March 20 to 22. He added that all arrangements for the festival are complete.
He hoped that it will inspire the younger generation towards healthy activities such as music. He added that folk singers such as Arif Lohar, Sahir Ali Bagga, Sara Raza Khan, Sahar Gul Khan, Faiza Mujahid, and Malkoo will showcase their musical talents.
Apart from the musical performances during the three-day festival, they will hold events in connection with the Clean and Green Pakistan campaign, a cycle race, a marathon, poetry recitation and comedy performances by Salman Gilani, Rana Shakeel Ahmed, Shahbaz Chauhan, Khalid Masood Khan, and Dr Anamul Haq Javed will be seen.
Islamabad DC Hamza Shafqaat said the country's most celebrated singers and artists will be performing during the festival along with prominent poets,
