Woman strangles children, commits suicide
Shaheen Bibi is said to have been disturbed because of poverty and domestic conditions

A woman has committed suicide after strangling her three children in Sedo Pili Khaga village near Pakpattan, reportedly because of domestic problems and poverty.
One child died, while the two others are in critical condition. Police took the bodies of the woman and the child to a hospital for legal proceedings.
It was learnt that Shaheen Bibi was disturbed because of poverty and domestic conditions.
She committed suicide by hanging herself after strangling her children, six-year-old Batool, two-year-old Ehtisham and four-year-old Fahd.
Fahd died while Batool and Ehtisham were shifted to the district headquarters hospital in critical condition by a rescue team.
Police have opened investigations to ascertain the motives and circumstances surrounding the incident. The police handed over the bodies to the family after completing legal formalities.
The husband of the deceased woman, Tariq Shah, is a labourer in Lahore.
