Three people found dead in mysterious circumstances

LAHORE: Four members of a family were shot dead and a minor girl was injured by men who barged into their house in Green Town area.

The victims were identified as Ishaq 50, his son Abuzar, 20, and daughters Aatiqa, 16, and Hafsa, 14. The injured girl has been identified as Hasna. They reportedly were inside their house when the unidentified attackers barged in and opened fire. Resultantly, Ishaq, Aatiqa and Hafsa suffered bullet wounds. On hearing the gunshots, Abuzar went after the suspects who shot him. The mother of the victims was reportedly in a neighbouring house.

On receiving information of the incident, a heavy contingent of police rushed to the spot. They cordoned off the area. Senior police officers and the teams of forensic experts also reached the spot to collect evidence.

The head of the family, Ishaq, reportedly had contracted two marriages and dealt in real estate business. Police were investigating the matter from different angles, including resistance on robbery, property dispute and enmity.

Meanwhile, in another incident in Baghbanpura, three members of a family were found dead in a house under suspicious circumstances.

The victims have been identified as Razia Bibi, Waqas Ali and Mustafira Khan. Rescue and police teams reached the spot on information. The SP Cantonment also visited the spot.

In another incident, a teacher of a private institute was shot dead in Shahdara Town. The incident occurred when the victim, Zulfiqar, left his house to bring milk and yoghurt.

The suspects riding a motorcycle were waiting to ambush him. On seeing him, one of the suspects clad in a burqa opened fire. The teacher reportedly suffered at least seven bullet injuries and expired on the spot.
