ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday urged all stakeholders to put their heads together for a long-lasting solution to the country’s issues.

“We [PML-N] as opposition in parliament are not playing any constructive role,” the sources quoted Abbasi as saying while presiding over party’s meeting in the Parliament House.

Abbasi, the former prime minister, claimed that for the first time people are holding expectations from opposition and “the party is not doing anything”. He stressed the need for raising voice as per people’s expectations.

While discussing prevailing economic and security situation, the PML-N leader directed the party members to highlight the masses issue with full energy.

It is pertinent to mention that an accountability court on Monday adjourned hearing till April 1, in the LNG case against Abbasi and others.

Talking to reporters outside the court, he accused the national graft buster of destroying economy.

Abbasi said: “NAB is being used for political victimisation. It is pressurising my friends and family members over possession of assets.”

He also said the government’s attempt to write letter to the UK government for repatriation of Nawaz Sharif has no justification and they will not be succeed in their attempts.
