You can now analyse restaurant menus on Google Maps.

Launched at I/O 2019, Google Lens allows users to point their phone’s camera at text in the real world which will grab that text and paste it into the text field on your smartphone.

This image recognition technology can also scan restaurant menus and sort out the popular dishes. Users can take pictures of the menu and upload it to a restaurant’s Google Maps listing.

Catering to demand, Google Maps has now added the lens feature. Now when a user will view such photos on Android a notification of “Explore dishes” will pop up at the bottom.
