More than 27,000 employees of the Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) have not been paid since the revival of the commissionerate system in June. The accounts of the defunct government were seized after the commissionerate system was restored. So far, there are no plans regarding the usage of the Rs72 billion KMC budget.
