‘Punjab govt committed to women empowerment’
'Health, education and security are the main issues being faced by women'
LAHORE:
Punjab Minister for Women Development Ashifa Riaz Fatyana has said that the government is committed to empowering women legally, economically, financially and socially at the grassroots levels.
Addressing a consultative session on women’s rights organised by the Punjab Women Development Department and UN-Women on Saturday, the minister added that the department was striving to facilitate working women at any cost. “Health, education and security are the main issues being faced by women of our country. In order to tackle these issues, we have already started a move with the cooperation of all stakeholders,” she maintained.
