Cochlear implants to start soon
Surgeries will help hearing impaired children carry out normal activities in the society

Nishtar Medical University (NMU) Vice-Chancellor Dr Mustafa Kamal Pasha has said that the latest Cochlear Implant Surgeries will be started soon at Nishtar Hospital for hearing impaired persons.
Addressing a symposium in connection with World Hearing Day, he said the surgeries will help hearing impaired children carry out normal activities in the society.
The college’s ENT department head Dr Saleem Sheikh said if hearing-impaired children are diagnosed early, they can be saved from disability.
