Brad Pitt had convinced Jennifer Aniston for 'Friends' reunion

The two had talked about it last year at her birthday last year

It appears that all Freinds fans out there owe their gratitude to Brad Pitt for the show's reunion coming to fruition. According to The Sun, it was Pitt who convinced Jennifer Aniston to say yest to the reunion special.

“After reuniting with Brad at her birthday last year, she asked him for advice. He said he thought it would be a great idea to honor their success and that fans still hold the show in such high regard,” a Hollywood insider was quoted by the British Daily.

According to the insider, Pitt had told his ex-wife that right now was the right time to partake in such a reunion. “He advised her to say ‘yes’ when everyone got together in October to celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary,” the insider added.

Aniston is expected to make $ 5 million from the reunion special.

Aniston spoke to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres about a possible new Friends project saying, “We would love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is. So we’re just trying. We’re working on something.”

The unscripted cast reunion special, which will be directed by Ben Winston, along with all 10 seasons of the Emmy-winning series, will be available to subscribers at the launch of HBO Max in May.
