No coronavirus case reported in Attock 

Any patient with symptoms of COVID-19 will be sent to NIH

No case of novel coronavirus has been reported in Attock district so far, said Deputy Commissioner Ali Anan Qamer.

“The health department is on high alert to meet any emergency situation,” he said reviewing facilities at Teshil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) in Pindi Gheb. He also inspected isolation ward and medical ward in THQ hospital.

On this occasion Assistant Commissioner Hadier Abbas and Deputy District Health Officer Dr Manzoor, Medical Superintendent THQ hospital were also present.

DC Qamer said although there is no imminent danger of coronavirus in Attock, all precautionary measures are being taken in all THQ hospitals.


He said all assistant commissioners and officers of the health departments in the Attock have been directed to ensure isolation wards and other necessary arrangements for prompt treatment in case of detection of symptoms of coronavirus in anybody.

Meanwhile medical Superintendent THQ hospital Pindi Gheb told that a special counter had been set up at the hospital as a preventative measures.

He informed that if any suspects found at the OPD with symptoms of pneumonia, cold, sneezing, coughing and fever samples would be sent to NIH for confirmation of coronavirus.
