As law enforcement agencies continued their crackdown on hoarders for selling surgical masks at exorbitant prices in the metropolis, four hoarders were arrested while 20,000 surgical masks were recovered on Monday.
In a raid in Kharadar, the police arrested four hoarders for selling surgical masks at high prices and also recovered 20,000 surgical masks.
The police and Rangers have been carrying out actions against such hoarders following the orders given by the Supreme Court.
On Saturday, the Sindh Rangers also conducted a raid in the locality of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, recovering 70,000 surgical masks.
The prices of surgical masks have soared in Karachi since four coronavirus cases were confirmed in the country last week.
