20 huts gutted in Tharparkar fire

Fire tenders arrived from Islamkot after being informed about the blaze, extinguishing the flames.

As many as 20 mud huts were burnt to ashes when a fire erupted in Tharparkar’s Bhorelo village on Friday. Fire tenders arrived from Islamkot after being informed about the blaze, extinguishing the flames.


The affected families, most of whom belong to the Meghwar community, have reportedly sustained a loss of millions of rupees in the form of jewellery, food supplies and livestock. The Tharparkar deputy commissioner has directed the district administration to help those affected immediately.
