KARACHI: The provincial transport department and traffic police officials should ensure that traffic signals are fixed and made operational in order to avoid traffic jams in Ramazan, said Karachi Transport Action Committee (KTAC) president Muhammad Ashraf Banglori in a statement issued Sunday. “The worst traffic jams usually take place in the evening,” he said. “The area around Habib Bank chowrangi, Ayesha Manzil, Liaquatabad post office and M A Jinnah suffers the most because the traffic signal there do not work properly.” He added that alternative arrangements should be made as traffic situation in Ramazan could get worse.
