Sindh govt forms committee on target killings

The Sindh government issued a notification to form a fact finding committee in order to ascertain the reasons behind target killing incidents in Karachi.

Additional IG Police Special Branch has been appointed as the chairman of the committee.

The commitee includes DIG Special Branch, Additional Home Secretary and officials of Rangers, ISI and IB. The committee will find out the root cause of target killings which threaten the security of the city. It will also interview leaders of religious parties.

The committee will present its recommendations regarding the law and order of the city.
