Nine booked for displaying arms outside Lal Masjid
Suspects said that Maulana Aziz gave them the guns for safety purposes

Nine people were arrested on the charge of brandishing firearms outside Lal Masjid on Wednesday.
A first information report (FIR) has been registered for violation of section 144 and for possessing unlicensed and illegal weapons.
Regarding the report, Aabpara police officials said that all nine suspects displayed arms at the behest of Lal Masjid Khateeb Maulana Abdul Aziz.
The report stated when the police inquired about the weapons the suspects said that Maulana Aziz gave them the guns for safety purpose.
The suspects include Ismail Baloch, Imran, Haroon, Aftab Pathan, Abdul Sattar, Shehzad, Maulana Yaqub Ghazi, Tariq Aziz, and Maulana Idrees.
The police officials said that a case against the suspects has been registered and further action would be taken according to the law.
