Mehwish Hayat is finally satisfied with the bathrooms in Karachi Airport
The 'Chhalawa' star updated her fans with pictures of the ongoing renovation in the place
Tamgha-e-Imtiaz recipient, Mehwish Hayat had earlier expressed her less than pleasant experience at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi and had quite a bit to say.
The Punjab Nahi Jaungi actor took to Twitter to share her grievances saying, “Disgusting! Had the misfortune to use the ladies room at Karachi airport – dirty and stinking.”
She went on to relay her experience and also subtly schooled the relevant authorities. “Not only is it unhygienic but is this the first impression we want to give to people coming here? These are the most basic amenities – let’s clean up our act,” she wrote.
She also mentioned how she even saw cockroaches. Now that’s a deal breaker!
However, exactly a month later, Hayat posted an update of the matter on her Twitter last night, rather happily.
"So gratifying to pass through Karachi Airport today and see this work being carried out on the gents and ladies’ rooms," she told her fans.
The star then reinstated her earlier point of concern, accompanied by a point of reason. "Airports are the first impression that visitors have of our country and it should be good one."
She ended off with thanking the authorities for listening to her earlier notice, "Thank you, to the authorities who listened to my request and took action."
The Chhalawa star also uploaded pictures of the restrooms being renovated.
