Five of these militants were killed when gunship helicopters targeted militant hideouts in Ghandi and Massi areas of Bajaur Agency.
Heavy artillery was also used in the attack by security forces.
Another militant was killed in Lachi area of Kohat during a clash between militants and the police. A large cache of arms was also recovered from militants.
