Malakand Grants Programme: USAID disburses $1.2m in assistance
A total sum of $5.25 million has been earmarked.
ISLAMABAD:
The United States Agency for International Development has disbursed working capital and rehabilitation cash assistance worth $1.158 million under its Malakand Grants Programme to 239 hotels and 22 fish farms up till June 30 this year. A total sum of $5.25 million has been earmarked, of which $1.4 million is direct cash assistance to be released up to 287 beneficiaries on satisfactory completion of their deliverables. The programme is also expected to provide post-flood reconstruction procurements worth $1.7 million to 261 businesses in the tourism and aquaculture sectors.
