RAWALPINDI:
The emergency exit door of a national carrier’s aircraft got suddenly unlocked before it was parked after landing at Islamabad International Airport on Sunday.

The passengers of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Sukkur-bound flight remained safe in the incident. The sources said that the related aircraft landed at the airport around 5 pm.

It was still on the runway for parking when the emergency door suddenly opened up on the application of brakes.

The pilot stopped the plane immediately to avoid any mishap. As the information spread, the airport officials reached the site and all passengers were evacuated from the aircraft. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has started the investigation into the incident.
