KARACHI:
It appears that popular TV serial Meray pass tum ho (MPTH) has set a trend by screening its finale in cinema screens across Pakistan. After MPTH, the team behind Ehd-e-Wafa is also gearing up to screen the final episode in cinemas.
While preparations are being made, there is no confirmation as of yet. "We have held discussions over the matter but right now the decision is yet to be made. We will have a discussion with Momina Duraid soon who will have the final say over this," Safie Hassan the director of the show told The Express Tribune.
According to reports, Ehd-e-Wafa's shoot has been completed. The director has confirmed that show will not exceed 26 episodes. The serial has managed to amass a strong fan following since it started airing in September last year. The show revolves around four college friends played by Osman Khalid Butt, Ahad Raza Mir, Ahmed Ali Akber and Wahaj Ali.
The show is written by Mustafa Afridi of Sang-e-Mar Mar and Aangan fame. It is produced by Duraid in collaboration with the ISPR.
Last month MPTH's much waited finale was aired on TV and in cinemas simultaneously. The finale was an amalgamation of two episodes spanning for roughly one and a half hour.
