A woman and her minor daughter died when the roof of a house in Baghrian Pind collapsed on Friday. Three others were also injured in the incident.
Police said that the roof of a house was in a dilapidated condition. Resultantly, five individuals were trapped under the debris. Nearby people called the rescue teams who reached the spot and launched the rescue operation.
The victims were evacuated and shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment where the doctors pronounced a mother and her infant dead.
The deceased have been identified as Maryam Bashir, 32, and her six-month-old child as Ayesha Bashir. The injured have been identified as Saba Bashir, 11, Ayan Bashir, 3, and Aqsa Bashir, 7.
