Journalists staged a sit in at the national press club on Saturday to protest the kidnapping of Malik Munawwar, a reporter from Karachi. Munawwar went missing two days ago. “Journalists are being regularly targeted,” said Indus Union of Journalists (IUJ) president Imdad Bozdar. “The government is not taking any measures to protect them.” Bozdar and IUJ general secretary Zaman Bajwah led the protest and demanded that the government should take action against Munawwar’s kidnapping.
